Assignment Briefing:

 

Attached and in Exel spreadsheets loaded on to Blackboard are a series of tables with raw data that has been produced by a fashion retailers’ Management Information System. The tables include :- customer information, records of transactions, sales and stock information. The information has been collected over the last 8 years, reflects 67 993 customer records of which 34, 856 have made a purchase of some sort.

You have been asked by your Head of Merchandising  to interpret, explain and analyse each table and consider what this set of data as a whole can tell the company about its sales and customers and how it can be used to improve sales and profit in the future.

The report (1500-2000 words max) should include charts, diagrams or graphs to illustrate your answer. Ensure the report shows you understand each set of data, any weaknesses in the data and the cumulative impact of all the information derived.
