HOW TO HELP POOR PEOPLE IN AFGHANISTAN

Afghanistan is a country in the Middle East of Asia, with a huge population of more than twenty nine million (29,000,000) people. The country of Afghanistan has a long history of war and as of this present they still suffer from threats and emerging struggle of political and socio-economic and religious conflicts between neighboring countries. This resulted in poverty, crimes and low economic performance and health problems that is still unresolved because usually the government focuses their attention more in defense and insurgency more than economic development and peace and order.

The result of this long history of war is suffering, famine and scarcity that this country has been considered as one of the poorest country of the world. Usually during war civilian people suffered, some of them are wounded in gunshots some died in air strikes while some hide in the villages like rats. Luckily there are also people who have been protected by the government but their lives are miserable, children do not to attend schools while parents usually cannot find a job. Some innocent children and women are also have been used and abused by soldiers to join military exercises and their minds are conditioned to use guns and military weapons preparing them to battle.

Afghan Government and American US forces has a very good military relationship during 2007 of September US launches Air strikes to protect the borders of their country from their enemies but according to news media, foreign and political leaders there are about 300 civilians who are killed in Kunar, western Farrah and other provinces, villagers should not be use as human shield people shouted and military forces should protect people and not destroy them. This is the usual cases during war in Afghanistan that it is the civilian who continue to suffer in deep poverty and starvation.

There are many ways to help Afghanistan in their condition of poverty, the government and people of Afghanistan is calling the aid of the world in the website; www.helpafghanistan.org doctors and medical practitioners are needed they are also open to people who have a desire to help their country including the children and the elderly who heavily needed the first aid to cure their diseases. Dr. Hassan Manawi is asking for the support to continue their program in giving at least first aid to people, they will highly appreciate donations in whatever means possible and 100% of the donations will go to AliAbaad Hospital, the victims of war and poor people. The program includes infrastructure development of roads, bridges, electricity and potable water. They will also help rebuild the construction of usually ruined schools and hospitals that will give them access that will support economic growth. Employment and livelihood has also been affected the U.S. response is agricultural development and livestock assistance to focus of land cultivation to increase job and provide food for the people.

USAID also focus on the strengthening local government unit; private and public sectors to strengthen their funds, improve their trading practices, promote livelihood through loans, small and medium enterprise development. Children are also included especially in education and literacy programs while women are also encouraged to participate in strengthening the civil society. The provision of healthcare which is primary important was also been initiated they have distributed medicines to hospitals and clinics who are highly affected by military insurgency. With the help of USAID and local government they have focused on poverty alleviation, health, education, infrastructure, livelihood and employment skills.
