VISUAL IMPAIRMENT LEARNING CURVES         There are many reasons why visually impaired students are having a hard time and most of them are associated in psychological factors. A blind person may lack in confidence since they feel that they do not belong to a normal world and so they tend to be silent when within the group or with other people, this maybe their first and foremost hindrance in learning.  A blind student when enrolled in a regular school may feel awkward with their classmates when they feel that they are often the butt of joke, they may not feel comfortable inside the class. They may not be able to perform well and that it seems that they have to always catch up when doing school work and assignment.       Probably the greatest difficulty they may experience is the dependency of people and family who are over protective about these people that when they are left to school to learn for the first time they may even be the one who are scared. At the same time over dependency of a blind person may even cripple his mind to learn.         Normally teachers may say that these kinds of students are encountering low morale or low self esteem, they may be sometimes shy or unspoken. There are times that they may be aggressive and non cooperative. Sometimes they are hard to deal with and at the same time a visually impaired student can be very sensitive and they simply refuse to learn. All this contributes to the child’s low learning behavioral curve.       On the other hand if a child who live in a comfortable and healthy atmosphere and on a family who continuously living with encouragement, love and understanding a visually impaired student may feel secured and confident inside and outside their home. They may even feel proud and without impairment thus, their capacity in learning is as natural as an ordinary student. Or you may hear visually impaired students to have an outstanding record in class. Obviously what a child need is more than financial support but love and understanding. When they feel that there is someone who believed in them no matter what they are and they will never be alone.         Basically Braille system is used for students who are blind they can easily grasp through books that are especially designed for them. This has been an old yet effective means to teach the student with this kind of imparities and until now it is being used for special schools for the blind. These books are the basic key to a child education since it almost has the same information in a regular book they can get to learn. Today there is also Braille magazine and Braille bibles.             Special school for the blind is a school exclusively for the visually impaired individual they are designed for comfort. Their rooms are highly accessible for the student and the materials and equipment are soothed for their convenience, the teacher are experienced to handle such students and their training capability is easily adaptable for visually impaired persons, they are highly trained and undergone extensive training in this field. Their classmates do have basically the same imparities so they may have the same capacity or not much difference in learning curve. If the family of a person who are blind have the capacity to enroll them in this kind of school much better for them.           In today’s modern society, technology paved its way to even enhanced and develop the quality of tools and technique of an educators and students learning pattern. Computer can easily be taught to blind people using keyboard to grasp such letter and intelligent voice command using speaker and very good software especially designed for visually impaired students. This technology has brought about all the possibilities for a blind and a visually normal individual an equal opportunity to learn.         Although we may say that training such individuals requires much effort to do so, we can also find so many ways to deal with it. All the mentioned above tools and equipment have revolutionized the teaching methods when dealing with people who are blind.  The most important teaching guide for the blind that we can stress over and over again is their family. They are the motivating factor and the source of strength of a child whatever their position is, they should  be given enough attention and support to able to deal with all difficulties they may encounter in school. Let us spend our time with them because they need it, this is not to give them the over dependency but a path to learn and gain the knowledge they deserve.

They can use the different benefits it may bring to their business’s expansion and become more competitive against the companies that are still trapped in the traditional accounting services ( 2007). Through the benefits it can offer, there will be a new emergence in the industry to take the process be part of their internal procedure and can craft a positive image in the mind of the accounting students to incorporate their learning with the information technology. Cons While there are many advantages in the utilization of the information in accounting profession, the company’s information technology cannot hide the additional resources and expenses in dealing with the problems that may arise in the incompatibilities of their own version of software. There are intricate procedures included such as the coding process which can accommodate the burden of the errors upon the interpretation. Through the attestation of the companies, they observed that there is a great impact of the high costs incurred in the completion of the software and they are often comes in different forms that are based on the need for accurate auditing, or reduction of the timeliness in releasing or producing the data needed by the corporate. Through the high costs or value of the software, the people may not add much importance of value in the process of it (2004). Analysis and Conclusion It is appropriate to office personnel such as the finance manager to have an accounting background but in many cases, the business leaders have a little knowledge regarding on the IT issues. In this case, the possibility of the application of the information technology in the accounting profession is very slim. And many companies place the responsibility of investment and IT strategy in the hands of an expert. As the business starts to performs, the business leaders will realize the different risk involved in IT projects if they are not managed properly and project failures are the most common end of their innovation. These risks and negative possibilities are the things that every company is trying to avoid. But in understanding the internal control and underlying systems between the accounting profession and the information technology services, all of the doubts will be banish (2006). There are possibilities to avoid the fraud in the business setting through the monitoring process that can adopt in the idea of IT in accounting. The strengths and weaknesses of the information system are based on the analysis and design of the solutions that is suitable to the corporate business problems. The only thing that is very vital in the process is the skills and knowledge of the person, so that he or she can manage the overall accounting information technology in the business settings.

ANALYSIS OF PERFORMANCE OF STUDENT WITH VISUAL IMPAIRMENT         In as much that I have perceived the only thing that lacks a person or student with visual imparity is their sense of sight as long there are teachers and parents who are more than willing to teach them, they may lost sight but they have achieved a vision more than we can see. A student with visual impairment uses more than his sense or feeling but sensitivity in their surroundings. If parents or guardians or teachers learn to love and teach such children they are likely to succeed than a normal child. People with this kind of disability have a focused vision and a steady mind.       But if a person with this kind of disability has been isolated to people they may lost more than sight but a confidence to learn. Children who are blind and never learned to associate with people are timid and shy they are likely to prevent them when associated to people and so their performance in school is somehow troublesome because of its character they are likely to resist school. Talking about performance, children or people with this condition will have a slow developmental growth in their activities during the first few months or years of school so a more personalized approach is highly needed.       This children and students who are visually impaired when placed to a regular school will definitely have a hard time dealing with teachers and student but with a constant commitment and focus, they can associate well.  These children may need much more attention than any regular student and they need more tools and special equipment to learn. Most of the time the Braille system is used to harness their reading comprehension which is easy to grasp through by a child who are blind, nowadays technology paved its way to the learning process of students with this kind of disability.         Computers revolutionize the learning system for the blind. It can respond and talk to student through sophisticated programs that are designed exactly for the needs of student who cannot see. This results in many advantages for the student to excel in writing and typing performance. Today the internet is a great learning tool if you have the right program such as JAWS or Windows Eyes.       There are lots of books and DVD’s available in the market today that are guaranteed to enhance such capabilities of a child. This books and tapes can be easily purchase anywhere within the communities or you can find it online. This technology brought about many changes and uses in the revolution of teaching methods.          A child who is motivated to learn and study English lesson can use such technology or hire a personal tutor for immediate comprehension. Foreign nationalities who have not really heard much about the language may find it hard to perform firsthand but creativity and discipline in teaching is required. Maybe a school for the blind for specialized training can work just fine. There are also online tutorial available worldwide depending on the nationality and location.  But again a thorough and extensive help support is needed since studying such language requires in demand and timely manner especially for a person with such disability.       More than anything else their basic needs to motivate them to study well is the parent’s support that they are loved and trusted. Their performance will surely increase it parents or guardian learn to participate in such undertakings. And a sign of little progression should be praised to give them confidence while learning. Children with disability like this one are always dependent on their feelings and hearing ability which are highly sensitive. A total sound and pleasant atmosphere at home and school will definitely be needed to prepare a child in a focused and healthy condition which is a good learning pattern is what he need. Remember that the child’s need is more than the tools and equipment but your personal cares and attention.       Sometimes psychiatrist are needed to identify the ability and condition of a student who are blind so that they can be given a diagnostic study and evaluate record and keep track the students adaptability and their personality and skills to as where they should and how they will be guided. They will be the one to assess and intervene to diagnosed psychological needs of a child and this can be very helpful in their school performance.                                         Some institutions and school organization must provide a skilled and experienced individual who can really adapt to such students verbally descriptive method in teaching must be used. The students are also taught to memorize mobility inside the school where all materials and tools can be easily grasped through by student on their own so as to create independence. The cooperation of other student should also be sought to create an even more healthy relationship for the student who have such imparity.  When all this is said and done a guaranteed in increase in performance for a child can be highly expected.

EFFECTS OF ENVIRONMENTAL SANITATION IN A COMMUNITY                         Environmental sanitation refers to activities that are aimed to improve the environmental conditions and maintain the standards of sanitation that affect the well-being of human. The environmental conditions being referred to are: air, water, animal, human and industrial wastes, food, and housing. (Business Dictionary, 2011).  The environmental factors enumerated above are important because they form a link in the transmission of diseases. (Wikipedia, 2011). The concern on diseases is the focal point on any environmental sanitation management project because not only are diseases the cause of morbidity they also increase the incidence of infant, mother and adult mortality. There are four major areas in environmental sanitation. These are planning, water supply, sanitation and hygiene education (Robens Institute, 2011).               Planning is an important area in environmental sanitation. A holistic and integrated planning approach brings the community in the forefront of the planning and consultation process in order to promote ‘ownership’ of the environmental sanitation project. A good environmental plan has concrete goals and objectives and means and method in achieving the goals. (Swiss Federal Institute for Environmental Science and Technology, 1999.).         Water is directly linked to health and survival of a human being. The quality of water used in the community for drinking and other household needs is important. The provision of sanitation facilities in both the public establishment and private homes is a concern among environmental sanitation experts. Health education is an important area in the overall environmental sanitation process. The goal of the education is to promote knowledge on the importance of maintaining good hygiene and in ensuring a clean air, water, food and housing and ensuring a safe and sanitary area for animal, human and industrial wastes. (Robens Institute, 2011). Environmental sanitation is critical in the reduction of people without access to safe drinking water and other sanitation facilities by 2015. This is also one of the concerns of the United Nations Millenium Development Goals. (Kennedy, 2010). Thus the global concern on environmental sanitation is critical because it has implications on social and economic development. Over-all it is the poorest of the poor who will benefit from environmental sanitation. Thus, environmental sanitation efforts must be mainstreamed in any developmental agenda (Wikipedia, 2011).               Poor environmental sanitation occurs when hygienic practices fall below the standards of health and sanitation. A poorly sanitized environment has the following characteristics: contaminated water supply especially drinking water supply, polluted air, improper disposal of human, animal and industrial wastes which are usually exposed to the environment, depressed and unclean housing and contaminated food. All these result to diseases and poor health, reduced productivity and increased infant and adult morbidity and mortality. One of the diseases caused by contamination due to faecal matter are – diarrhea, cholera, typhoid fever and amoebiasis, trichuriasis, ascariasis , and hookworm among others (Warmer, 1997).Contaminated food as we all know results to diarrhea, amoebiasis and food-poisoning among others. The effects of air pollution on human health include eye irritation, allergies, coughing, asthma and other lung diseases (Stratford, 2011). Crowded and poorly sanitized housing facilities on the other hand have a socio-psychological impact on the well-being of an individual. Crowding impacts on the cognitive and psychomotor performance of children and also increases their tendency towards aggression (Sammons, nd). The other concern on poor environmental sanitation is that it affects the poorest members of society especially that they lack the physical and financial resources and education to improve their sanitation.               Environmental sanitation management refers to the overall-all process of ensuring a safe and sanitized environmental condition which starts from planning, organizing resources, controlling the processes, and leading the whole environmental sanitation management process. Under environmental sanitation management are the sub fields of water and wastewater treatment, treatment of industrial wastes, noise and pollution control and solid waste management (Wikepedia, 2011). Environmental sanitation management is thus a broader area of concern that requires a holistic and integrated approach involving the community who are the direct benefactors of environmental sanitation projects, the local government, non government agencies and experts in the various fields related to environmental sanitation. In conclusion, environmental sanitation management as it concerns the reduction of diseases is just as important an agenda as poverty alleviation.
