      The battle of smart phone with virtual keyboard or touch screen continues versus the phone with physical keyboard. With many available mobile devices available in the market today two of the features that usually gaining a question of trust and supremacy is both of the features of such device. When buying a new mobile phone that is flooding the market today you may ask, what would you prefer? A touch screen smart phone obviously looks fascinating in its physical form, usually it is slimmer and the screen is bigger because it eliminates certain physical attributes of keyboard. A touch screen is easy to use even with one hand compared to physical keyboard. Most popular touch screen smart phone includes; Android Phone, Blackberry, LG, Motorola, Iphone and others. According to some users a touch screen smart phone is usually fast and more productive. Usually it is easier to select letters and numbers in a touch screen keyboard, especially the Iphone slide is probably one of the fast growing improvements in smart phone. Basically a touch screen is fun, colorful and exciting to use.

      But there are also disadvantages in a touch screen smart phone first and foremost is its price, usually a smart phone with touch screen virtual keyboard is almost double the price of a phone with physical keyboard. Another disadvantages of the touch screen is it’s sensitivity it should be handled with care or it should not be pressed hard but during several usage you may not be able to control your pressure it can easily worn out this may cause severe damage on your phone. A touch screen smart phone usually requires user to learn to master is function, you really need to learn its function or you may get lost of what to press or where are you heading but so you will need to use the help function or turn off the phone and restart again so you can return to what you are doing. Sometimes some labels or quotes may be hard to find. A touch screen virtual keyboard is also sensitive to impact of collision or dropping it may run out or distort its screen with a strong impact. Another issue is that a touch screen smart phone usually runs out of battery very easily. Some of the users also say that there are touch screen that needs a smaller finger or if you have a bigger finger you may be able to miss the keys you are going to press. Basically these are all its disadvantages.         

      In comparison with smart phone with physical keyboard which is probably still more popular although they have been decreasing in sales because of the presence of the touch screen. A physical keyboard is more durable and you don’t have to worry putting it in your pocket it will still work in a simple collision or drop compared to touch screen. A physical keyboard has also been upgraded in a QWERTY keyboard for easier press although some may say that a qwerty keyboard is quite small to their fingers, if you are a hard hitter or you press too much a physical keyboard will seem to be more productive because you don’t have to control your pressure, and perhaps a physical keyboard is more accurate in typing since it has a separate keys. The best you can get from a physical keyboard from smart phone is its considerable price.   

      There are also disadvantages on physical keyboard compared to a touch screen usually it is bulky and you will basically need to use your both hand. A physical keyboard is manual it may require you to browse all the way up and down to what you are searching you may not be able to swipe or slide the keys unlike in a touch screen.. Physical keyboard gain 50.3% votes while touch screen gain 39.5% votes. Basically if you are already familiar with physical keyboard you should try the touch screen, there are also smart phone with dual functionality although most of these phone usually higher in price so try to keep an open mind of what you really need but if you have the opportunity and money you should try both to really understand what best works for you.
