To harass someone is to bother him or her. Sexual harassment is bothering someone in a sexual way. Sexual harassment is a form of sex discrimination that involves unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature.
Although there are no known incidents of sexual assault and abuse in the workplace, sexual harassment in the form of unwanted and offensive behaviors and actions is taking place. The sexual harassment in the workplace involves both verbal and non-verbal communications that create a hostile and intimidating environment. Sexual harassment also affects and interferes with one’s performance.
