London will be hosting the next
Olympics in the year 2012. Since this is a big event, this will create new
opportunities in the transportation sector, medical, logistics, Information
Technology as well as the cultural and creative institutions. It may even affect
all the primary sectors of the government.
National Training Awards (NTA) will
work closely with the government to improve the skills of the current employees.
This will include almost all employees – employees working in political,
economic, social and technical environment.
Those skills in different sectors
will be maximized to its fullest, with the help of NTA as well as the
government, to ensure that employees are well prepared to compete with China,
India and other countries growing economically.
NTA is responsible in rewarding
businesses, organizations and individuals that have achieved success in the line
of business where they are in, as one way to encourage them to invest on the
training and improvement of their employees.
The NTA has been active a number of
years ago up to the present. It started in 1987 when the Department for
Education and Science was awarded by an independent body in UK, because of
adequate trainings they provided. Finally, this year, there are 223 finalists
chosen from 5 different sectors out of 723 entries.
Since NTA has proven to have
affected most of the businesses, this study would like to make an in depth
research on the role of NTA in developing businesses and organizations achieve
success by maximizing the potentials and the skills of its employees.
This research will be beneficial to
the government of United Kingdom and to all the business industries in general.
