Alarmingly, teenage parents are increasing and the most affected type of gender is the females. Due to the various problem that deteriorate the concept of morality and personal ethics, the disadvantage young mothers stays fighting just to defend themselves and their child in various problems in the society.

Background and Problem Statement

Early motherhood represents the women in the middle of the challenges. Although most of the women in today are successful in their lives, the young mothers are often depicted as an individual who receives insufficient education, no vocational training, no stable livelihood, and other negative issues that might degrade their personality in the society. The young mothers are also stigmatized of having the powerlessness and incompetence because they do not have own motivation to continue their education or do things that might help them live. Based on the rule of the society, a person who is not a graduate of any course must struggle to live decently (Christoffersen, 2005). Due to these common societal and parental pressures that the young mothers receive, the creation of a training which is entirely focus to help them is an important program to help the women build their own strength. However, what would be the appropriate vocational and training program that will fit in the women’s needs?

Research Objective

The main objective of the study is to open a room for collaboration and exchange expertise of the facilitators who can help the training of the young mothers. Through the help of the support services and other governmental institutions, the young mothers can finally find their own way to live decently.

Research Questions

Due to the increasing numbers of women who eventually became as early mothers, the importance of work or job is the next important priorities to provide the needs of their child. Therefore, the study provides several questions that can give rise to the issues regarding the early motherhood.

1.      What are the recognized challenges that mostly met by the young mothers?

2.      What are the available programs that are actively helping the young mothers to answer their needs and their child?

3.      How effective would be the application of the vocational and training in building the better women among the young mothers?

Literature Review

Women who have children at an early age have few chances to complete education but various vocational training are offered for them that aims to help them live in a decent way. Even if the young mother is unable to finish school, as long as she have the heart and knows how to read, write, and count, there is no doubt that the young mothers can be successful someday (Christoffersen, 2005).  The use of the vocational education is another strategy being applied to facilitate the movement of the young mother towards the economic success. Through the various vocational strategies, there is a possibility to strengthen the teenagers in parenting most especially the young girls who suddenly turned into mothers. The vocational program can help the young mothers to find their inner talents or skills and boost it to use in their adventure in their new life. Various concerns are also part of the vocational education such the need for their time to learn and their flexibility to attend the vocational meetings and their child. Above all, the objective of the vocational education is to eliminate the negative effects of their situation, such as in the level of their psychological and socio-economic needs, and help the young mothers stand on their own (Proulx, 2005; Lane, 2008).

Methodology

The applied method in the study is the use of the secondary information which is related in the vocational and training strategies in the community. Through the use of the method, the study can identify the essence or the value of the application of the vocational education among young mothers. In addition, this can also lead to the creation of another vocational program that can be effectively influence the socio and economic living of the young mothers.

Conclusion

Building the better future of the community starts in building the better person among the teenagers. People should help and not to degrade their situation. The creation and support of the vocational and training is very essential in helping the young mothers to achieve their postponed dream.
